Our first walk activity in the 2019 “A Walk in the Park” series was held on Saturday, May 11th, 2019. It

Leslie Street and Lawrence Ave., North York.

A Walk in the Toronto Village Day Street Festival - June 8, 2019
On June 8, 2019, we organized a small group get-together – we took a walk to enjoy the annual Toronto
Village Day Street Festival which took place on Yonge Street, stretching from the Lawrence Avenue
junction northbound to Yonge Boulevard. It was a day of fun, food and sidewalk bargains. We stroll
along the street for about 2 hours. After the walk, we had dim sum lunch together.

A Walk in the Park on July 20, 2019
A group of our alumni enjoyed a morning walk right in the heart of our beautiful city of Toronto -- the
Don Valley Evergreen Brick Works Park and the Western Quarry Garden. (Entrance is at 550 Bayview
Ave, south of Pottery Road.)
A Walk in the Park on Sept 28 - Guildwood Park and Gardens
The sun welcomed us at Guildwood Park and Gardens this morning, although we came in rain jackets
and carried umbrellas because rain and shower was forecasted yesterday! Lucky for us!
Breathing in the fresh air after the rain at night, admiring the scattered relic pieces from Toronto past,
we leisurely strolled through the grounds, chatting away of friends and our alma mater.
There were a few species of floral blossoming around us. However the few red and yellow leaves fallen
on the trail whispered to us that Autumn is just around the corner, while the sweet taste of moon cake
still lingered in our mouth.
A light lunch of Congee and noodles made the perfect ending of this walk, as the drizzle started in the
city.
It was a small group this time, and we hope to see more of you at our last walk of 2019, tentatively by
early November.
