The 2007 AGM Dinner of QESOSA (Ontario) was held on November 17, 2007 at China Buffet King in Scarborough. The theme of the evening was “Those Were the Days – QES School Camp”. All the 49 guests and alumni present enjoyed a jovial evening filled with the warmth of friendship, laughter and reminiscences of the good old days at the QES School Camp. President of the association, Chan Chi-Hung, called the AGM to order and began by introducing the guests of the evening. They were Yolanda Lee and Emily Chan from Belilios Public School Alumni Association, and Eric Wong and S.L. Cheung from Queen's College Old Boys Association. The introduction was followed by a report on the activities in the past year. Roger Kwan, Treasurer, then presented the 2007 Financial Report, which, together with the 2006 AGM minutes, was adopted by the members present. Another important task during the AGM was the election of directors. This year, all the eight out- going directors were re-elected. They are Chan Chi-Hung (65), Henry Lee (61), James So (67), Julie Look (67), Roger Kwan (78), Selwyn Chow (61), Tang Fu-Wah (68) and Lee Shiu-Ki (58). MC Nancy Tang (65) and Jerry Liu (68) took everyone down Memory Lane by presenting a slide show of the School Camp from its official opening in 1962 to its 40th anniversary in 2002. The attendees were then engaged in a fun-filled quiz on the development of the School Camp. The most challenging questions included demonstrating a folk dance, singing a camp song and telling a ghost story about the Ghost House. Competition was fierce among the tables and to everyone’s surprise, our friends from Queen’s College rose to the challenge and brought home the second prize for their table. The evening closed with a lucky draw and photo-taking. All involved were thoroughly amused by the program and wished that the fun would go on.
